WHY MOVE TO CABO ROIG?

Cabo Roig is best known as a small but very popular tourist resort situated on the Orihuela Costa on the Southern Costa Blanca of Spain, south of Alicante and Torrevieja.

Cabo Roig is easily accessed off the AP7 and N-322 roads and is south of the town of La Zenia, also a popular and busy beach resort.

Cabo Roig

This area is popular with tourists, it has a growing expat population full of different nationalities although mainly from the United Kingdom.

The huge amount of new developments, mostly apartments,  were bought up by many people from the United Kingdom and other Northern European countries. So in the Cabo Roig area there are now many expatriates living there who speak either no Spanish or very limited Spanish.

This is great news if you’re looking for a job in the area because these expatriates or expats as they are commonly known prefer to deal with people in their native language. So if you searching for English-speaking jobs in Cabo Roig you will find job opportunities despite your limited Spanish.

Cabo Roig also has the added bonus in that it is a very popular tourist destination with excellent beaches at Playa Cala Capitan and Playa Cala Caleta.

Alicante airport is only around 45 minutes drive north and to the south you have the resorts of Campoamor, Pilar de la Horadada and San Pedro del Pinatar as well as San Javier Murcia airport being just 20 minutes drive away. This means there are plenty of tourist related jobs in Cabo Roig and makes for a great place if you are looking for summer jobs in Cabo Roig.

Cabo Roig also has many golf courses nearby such as La Finca golf course and Royal Campoamor golf club.

LIVING AND WORKING IN CABO ROIG SPAIN

When you are looking for jobs in Cabo Roig you also need to consider other factors apart from things such as working conditions and rates of pay, such as:

Is Cabo Roig one of the best areas to move to in Spain?

What is the quality-of-life like living in Cabo Roig?

What is the cost of living like in Cabo Roig?

Just to give you our personal opinion, we believe that there are prettier areas of Spain, for example the Northern Costa Blanca is extremely green and mountainous with some very pretty little coastal towns which used to be small fishing villages. These towns such as Altea, Calpe, Moraira, Javea and Denia also have large expat populations and there are also good opportunities to find jobs, however nothing like as good as in Cabo Roig.

Cabo Roig is very built up with lots of housing developments and really very little Spanish culture, however, it is a very busy area with lots of bars, restaurants, pubs and excellent sandy beaches. It is also very close to the major airports which is very handy if you intend to fly back to the United Kingdom on a regular basis.

The best thing to do of course is to visit the area and maybe even take out a short term let to give yourself time to explore the local area and search for jobs.

Cabo Roig is however a lovely area with clean sandy beaches, the famous watchtower and cliffs which you can walk along for miles and miles. So in terms of quality of life Cabo Roig is definitely  a great place to live and work.

There are a number of historic Spanish cities within an hour’s drive of Cabo Roig – Murcia, Cartagena, Orihuela, Elche and Alicante. Also La Manga and the Mar Menor are well worth a visit.

For the ladies there are plenty of shopping opportunities especially at the big city of Murcia to the south where there is a huge shopping mall with IKEA, Primark and Zara.
